Reflection of the Heart

Updated: Nov 9, 2020

"A good man out of the good treasure of his heart brings forth good; and an evil man out of the evil treasure of his heart brings forth evil. For out of the abundance of the heart his mouth speaks." Luke 6:45

We can't hide it. No matter what we do to conceal it, it will come out. In the midst of our sadness or anger, what we store in our heart will come bursting through like a mighty rushing water. Like the clanging of cymbals. So...I say it's time for me to get busy! What about you?

Clean out! Declutter! Tidy up!

My heart needs a makeover! I want the assurance in knowing that when I am squeezed like an almost empty tube of toothpaste all that will come out is what I have stored in the abundance of God's grace and mercy.

In knowing Him more He will reveal to me the corners of my heart that need swept clean. He will replace all the ugly with the beautiful! To begin with LOVE, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness and faithfulness. (Galatians 5:22)

I want my heart to be so stuffed full of His image that I am bulging with Him and only remnants of me.

"As in water face reflects face, so a man's heart reveals the man." Proverbs 27:19

May we strive to look more like Jesus in our every reflection. That starts with our heart condition. Jesus lives there, so let's clean it up! :)

I love you & He loves you more!

Lord, thank you for loving me just the way I am but not allowing me to stay that way. Once You took possession of my heart You were on a mission to mold me into Your image. Instill in me the wonders of Your works by striving to be more like Jesus in every way. Amen.
