"But you shall receive power when the Holy Spirit has come upon you; and you shall be witnesses to Me In Jerusalem, and in all Judea and Samaria, and to the end of the earth." Acts 1:8
Have you ever thought about the impact the Holy Spirit has on our life?
He gives us light from the inside out. He leads and guides us and allows us to feel His stirrings in situations we are faced with daily. He moves us to give love, grace and forgiveness to others. The moment we accept Jesus as our personal Savior the Holy Spirit immediately enters in and begins the transformation of our lives. He possesses control, authority and influence over our every move, our every thought. We are not the same!
Praise the Lord!!!
BUT...it is up to you to embrace that change and allow the transformation to become apart of who you are. You have to seek out a relationship with the Lord. Learn how to be His witness, and how to navigate this world we live in through the mind of Christ.
To be His disciple we must study the heart of Jesus.
His heart was...
pure (1 John 3:5). He set His mind on things above.
peaceful (Isaiah 9:6). He forgave and moved on and would not be guided by fear.
purposeful (Luke 19:10). He had a mission and He was focused.
spiritual (Luke 4:18). He loved the Father and would only be led by Him.
Jesus was filled with the Holy Spirit to do His bidding, He was led by the Spirit to act on His will and He returned from the desert in the power of the Spirit to fulfill His purpose.
Jesus worshipped and prayed daily. He absorbed all that God had for Him. He memorized scripture and very often found himself a quiet place to pray and commune with His Father.
Girls, we are to think and act as Christ (Eph. 4:23,24). Can we do it? You bet we can.
The Holy Spirit is alive inside of each of us if we are saved, to move us in the direction He would have us go. We must be obedient! I want to encourage you to seek Him everyday and walk in His way.
I love you & He loves you more!
Lord, Thank You for The Holy Spirit who lives inside of me. Thank You for the example we have in Jesus to know how to seek You more. Amen.
