To the Troubled Heart

Updated: Mar 18, 2021

"Which of you by worrying can add one cubit to his stature?" Matthew 6:27

I praise God for meeting all my needs and through His grace and goodness He sees fit to bless me with even more than I deserve. We serve a God that tells us not to worry but knows that we will anyways and forgives us for it when we ask.

"So why do you worry about clothing? Consider the lilies of the field, how they grow; they neither toil nor spin" (Matt. 6:28). He amazes me every time He meets me right where I am and loves me too much to leave me there. My prayer is that I would grow in the knowledge of who I am in Him because I am so much more to Him than I am to this world.

~God gives us exactly what we need when we need it.

"Peace I leave with you, My peace I give to you; not as the world gives do I give to you. Let not your heart be troubled, neither let it be afraid." (John 14:27)

~He covers us with grace. for His grace has no measure.

"But He gives more grace, therefore He says:

"God resists the proud, but gives grace to the humble." (Ja. 4:6)

I pray that we receive strength and guidance to rise above the cares of this world and learn to love with a Christ-like love. I pray that we will be an example of how God cares for all of us to our unsaved friends and family, or even strangers we pass on the street. I pray that we would rise above and make a difference in our home and workplace. To love others from the love He gives so generously. I pray that we may be confident in any decisions we make, trusting that God will lead us if we listen for His voice.

Happy Saturday!

I love you & He loves you more!

Dear Lord, Plant us right in the middle of Your love and acceptance and allow us to bloom wherever we are, for there we know You are with us. May we not worry but only trust in the One who made us. Bless this day that You have made. I rejoice in You! Amen.
