There's No Place Like Home

Updated: Apr 6

"By wisdom a house is built, and by understanding it is established; and by knowledge the rooms are filled with all precious and pleasant riches." Proverbs 24:3,4

Our home is where we get to set the rules; the mood; and the protection from outside influences. Our home should be a safe haven; a soft place to fall; a place of comfort and rest. Our home is where we find peace and calm at the end of a long day; a place where we can relax and refresh to be able to start again. Our home is one of the only places left where a family can turn away the cares of the world and enjoy being in the presence of those that love you most.

"Your success as family, our success as society, depends not on what happens in the White House, but on what happens in your home." -Barbara Bush

As wives and mothers we can set the atmosphere and interactions in the family within the walls of our home by:

~keeping a quiet spirit that's reflected in the home.

~talking calmly and softly; being respectful of each other.

~using our manners so that we are being an example.

~having soothing music playing in the background during our family times.

~giving your undivided attention (putting our phones and other devices away).

Girls, sit down with your husband and discuss ways you both would like to better the atmosphere in your home making it a safe haven for all of you, away from the chaos of the world.

Happy Saturday!

I love you & He loves you more!

Lord, Make our home a place where our family can find freedom from the struggles. Help us to find a way to protect our home from outside influences. Show us how to create a peaceful and quiet place for us to rest. May Your Holy Spirit take up residence to provide us with a home that always welcomes Your presence. In Jesus' name. Amen.
