"When my anxious thoughts multiply within me, your comforts delight me." Psalm 94:19
Life is filled with unexpected problems, crises, and disagreements. It causes restless days and nights and may even make you question where you stand with the Lord.
We must hold fast. If you are familiar with Job you know he said, "I hold fast my uprightness and my right standing with God and I will not let them go; my heart does not reproach me for any of my days." (Job 27:6) The tragic losses, the turmoil and disease Job faced, he still held fast to his faith in God. Not without question or feelings of loneliness, but through an eye opening conversation with the Lord Himself he knew where his help came from and he trusted that. "My help comes from the Lord, Who made heaven and earth." (Ps. 121:2)
Trust in God and all His ways. "Let not your heart be troubled; you believe in God, believe also in Me." (John 14:1) We have an advocate with our Father; never doubt the assurance we have in Him. "My little children, these things I write to you, so that you may not sin. And if anyone sins, we have an Advocate with the Father, Jesus Christ the righteous." (1 John 1:2)
As Christians, because of the refuge we have in God, we should strive to maintain composure and stability in spite of our stresses and difficulties this life will bring. That is not to say our faith will not be tested and at times will get the best of our human minds where fear and doubt; anger and hurt creeps in and move us away from our Savior and our trust in Him. "The Lord also will be a refuge for the oppressed, a refuge in times of trouble." (Ps. 9:9)
When this happens, be secure in knowing, He waits for you. With arms opened wide He longs for you to come to Him for comfort and strength, understanding and solace in our deepest, darkest times. "All praise to God, the Father of our Lord Jesus Christ. God is our merciful Father and the source of all comfort." (2 Cor. 1:3)
There is a place of quiet rest. A place where sin cannot molest. A place of comfort sweet. A place where we our Savior meet. There is a place of full release. A place where all is joy and peace. That place is near to the heart of God.
Take comfort in knowing when we belong to our Savior He is always near; always our Mediator; our Father; Counselor; Friend. Release your cares on Him, He is mighty to receive and extend His loving arms to you.
I love you & He loves you more!
Lord, You are our blest Redeemer, sent from the heart of God, hold us who wait before You near to the heart of God. May I always be sensitive to Your nearness. You are my quiet place of comfort and peace. Thank You Jesus. Amen.
Good morning, Bill.
I am so happy you find comfort for there is where I reach also when I need help and hope and healing. I can’t imagine my world without them.
I pray this day finds you better than the last.
God bless you.

Good morning, Kim.
As I read your morning blog I wanted to burst out in song. Second to the Scriptures, old hymns of the faith reach to the depths of the soul and provide comfort.
Thank you again.
