Love Yourself

Updated: Jun 11, 2020

"Be kindly affectionate to one another with brotherly love, in honor giving preference to one another; not lagging in diligence, fervent in spirit, serving the Lord" Romans 12:10,11

To be kind to others I think we should learn to be kind to ourselves first. Love ourselves, not in an arrogant way, but respect who we are in Christ. Just like I've said before, love starts in our home; respect starts deep inside of us. We must not talk down to ourselves. Negative words can destroy a soul. We must nourish ourselves with confident words of affirmations. We must be kind to ourselves so that we can care enough to be kind to others.

How we talk; how we act; how we react is all a reflection of how we have taken the time to care for ourselves on the inside. I cannot say it enough, girls, spending time each day with the Lord will help you in caring and being passionate about serving Him. By serving Him we are serving others, and by serving others we serve him as well.

Peace is one of our greatest assets. It comes to us with salvation. Through peace we can show others a different kind of living. Our world we come in contact with everyday can witness true love, grace, mercy and peace that only comes from God (2 John 1:3).

We have to set aside prejudice and judgemental thoughts (of yourself or others) because through our thoughts our actions follow without us even noticing.

*Honor others thoughts and feelings even if you don't agree with them.

*Be consistent with what You say so that your actions line up with your beliefs.

*Remember the world is watching you. We are under a microscope. Walk carefully.

I love you & He loves you more!

Lord, Help me to be more kind to others by being more kind to myself. Show me ways of practicing unconditional love so that love will overflow into those who need it most. May I be diligent in my faith and serving You. Amen.
