"As you, therefore have received Christ Jesus the Lord, so walk in Him, rooted and built up in Him and established in the faith, as you have been taught, abounding in it with thanksgiving." Colossians 2:6,7
Paul was a great motivator and encourager. He always directed and lifted up the church to remind them of the importance of walking in the truth, relentlessly warning the church of those who sought to deceive them.
"That you may walk worthy of the Lord, fully pleasing Him, being fruitful in every good work and increasing in the knowledge of God;" (Col. 1:10)
It is so important for us to know what we believe and why. There are so many different "religions" that sound so close to the teachings of the Bible but are not. They will persuade you into thinking they believe as we believe (Biblical) when in reality it is so far from the truth of scripture, the only Truth.
"Because that, when they knew God, they glorified Him not as God, neither were thankful; but became vain in their imaginations, and their foolish heart was darkened." (Rom. 1:21)
I want to encourage you in truth and in love through what I see in you:
~You are striving to live for Him each day. (Col. 2:6)
~You are seeking and serving in your own way. (Col. 2:10a)
~You are loving others and being patient and kind. (Col. 3:12)
~You are going to church, being present and willing to do your part. (Col. 3:16)
Don't stop! Give of yourself and when you don't think you can give anymore...give some more. But remember to always allow God to fill your cup each day. To breath into you His countenance and joy so that you can give from a full cup, so that others may see His light in you while encouraging them to come and know the Savior.
"And my God shall supply all your need according to His riches in glory by Christ Jesus." (Phil. 4:19)
I hope you will always:
Allow Him to embrace you in His arms and help you (Isa. 41:13).
Let Him be the leader (Ps. 48:14).
Give Him your burdens you were never meant to carry (Ps. 68:19).
Let your light shine in your home and as you go so that they may see your good deeds and glorify God (Matt. 5:16).
Always be thankful (Col. 4:2).
And never forget...when you've got Jesus the Messiah, you've got it all (Rom. 9:5)!
I love you & He loves you more!
Lord, You are the Messiah! You lead us. Teach us. Help us. Guide us. We are forever in Your debt. May we follow close behind You seeking and serving and being an example of Your love. In Jesus' name. Amen.
