Be an Open Book

"Search me, O God, and know my heart;

Try me, and know my anxieties;

And see if there is any wicked way in me,

And lead me in the way everlasting." Psalm 139:23,24

This Psalm was written by David, and it's subject heading in my Bible is 'God's Perfect Knowledge of Man'. What better way to truly know someone than to search their heart!

When we open our heart we reveal all there is to know about ourselves. Our desires, our pain, our insecurities, our strongholds, our strengths, our secrets. We hold nothing back, especially when we trust the person we are opening up to.

I want to encourage you to give your all to God. Don't hold back! He knows all about you anyway, but His desire is for you to trust Him with your deepest thoughts and feelings.

He wants you to share with Him what troubles you, what scares you, what keeps you down; holds you captive. He wants you to share your joy, your laughter, your delight. He wants you to open every door and to hear you lay it all out. When you do this the Lord knows that you fully trust in Him.

We must focus on ourselves and stop looking at others with critical eyes and wishing God would change them. He will deal with them in His time. Right now He wants you to look inside yourself and make your heart right with Him and share with Him all about you.

"Only God can show us where change is needed and bring it by basic nature." -Anonymous

If you truly want to walk in the Lord's way and enjoy His presence, you must be dependent on Him to lead you in the right way.

I love you & He loves you more!

Lord, Search me and know my heart. Lead me in the way everlasting. I want to walk with You. In Jesus' name. Amen.
