A Host of Protection

Updated: Apr 12, 2021

"No harm will come to you; no plague will come near your tent. For He will give His angels orders concerning you, to protect you in all your ways" Psalm 91:10.11

These are some uncertain times. Times that we've never faced as a country to this precise extent. Of course, to some it's more uncertain than others. I would hope as Christians we would stand firm and hold on to the truth that we know that the Lord is in control.

I am a firm believer that everything happens for a reason. Nothing gets by our great God. He is wise and merciful. He knows our ways and allows us to go the way we choose but His ways are always truer and higher.

For reasons we don't understand this virus has come upon our land, but know it is of no surprise to Him. We just have to take it as it comes. Whatever our lot, we must holdfast and be sure of the One who holds us because the world is watching. They are observing our actions and reactions to all of this. We have to be wise and abide by the law that is set before us, but trust in Him who covers us and protects us.

I love the part in this verse that says, "For He will give His angels orders concerning you", His heavenly hosts wait anxiously for Him to give out His commands to surround us and shield us on every side. We have a heavenly army that protects us by His unmerited favor.

Never doubt that God is in the details of your life. He cares about everything that concerns you, right down to the most insignificant detail. As our Protector, nothing escapes His masterful hand. I pray that we move quietly on with each passing day, trusting fully in Him who made us and not we ourselves. He sees ahead to what our future holds and is right here by our side every step of the way.

I love you & He loves you more!

Lord, Bless us during this time when all we hear is stressful news of sickness and death. Help us to reach for You and know that You are working daily in our life to display Your glory. I am so thankful that You are the Lord of all the details. I praise You! Amen.
